USA : Donald Trump Admin Works On a  Immigration Reform 

WASHINGTON: The Trump administration is working on comprehensive immigration reform, the White House said Friday, but declined to comment on whether changes are made to the H-1B work visa program popular with IT professionals India, before 3 April.

The White House was responding to a question about the possible modification of H-1B visas through an executive order before April 3, when the Citizenship and Immigration Service will begin accepting applications for the next fiscal year beginning on 1 Of October, 2017.



"I think we've talked about immigration in the past. I think there's a whole global process you're seeing, in terms of how we're to prevent illegal immigration, and then what we're doing for legal immigration, whether it's H -1B or K-1 or other visas that exists within the system, "White House press Sean Spicer told reporters at his daily press conference.

Meanwhile, five US universities later this week will launch an Entrepreneur-In-Residence World (RIE), programs aimed at keeping founders born abroad through
H-1B visa.

These are the universities - Northwestern University, Loyola University, DePaul University, Columbia College Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

These universities would take advantage of the H-1B provision in which higher education institutions are exempt from Congress sent 85,000 visas in this category.


Several other universities - University of Colorado - Boulder and University City - New York - have launched similar programs.

San Jose State University, University of Missouri-St Louis, University of Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Pacific University and also the creation of similar programs.

During his presidential campaign, Trump was committed to increasing oversight of our H-1B and L-1 visa programs that are widely used by Indian technology companies.

H1B visa is a nonimmigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in occupations that require theoretical or technical knowledge. Technology companies rely on it to take tens of thousands of employees each year.
