Melania Trump ratings improves since inaugral

WASHINGTON: Popularity Index First Lady Melania Trump rose to double digits since the real estate billionaire Donald Trump husband was inaugurated as president on January 20, according to a new survey.

The CNN / ORC poll released on Wednesday found that 52 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Melania Trump, an increase of 36 per cent of pre-inauguration.



In February 2016, I voted in favor of the former model was a mere 24 percent, while 31 percent found her unfavorable. Twenty-three percent had never heard of her.

Now, only three percent say they know that the First Lady, and her unfavorable rate held steady at 32 percent, the poll showed.

The results fall along party lines; 86 percent of Republicans see the First Lady favorably, while only 22 percent of Democrats feel the same.

The margin is much wider for Melania Trump than it was for his predecessor Michelle Obama, who in April 2009 had a favorable rating of 93 percent among Democrats and 50 percent among Republicans.

According to the survey, men have a more favorable view of her than women.

Fifty-eight percent of men view positively, compared with 46 percent of women. Michelle Obama the numbers in this category were drastically flip-flop with 78 percent women and 68 percent of men.

Interviews for the survey by CNN / ORC were conducted from March 1 to 4, by telephone with 1,025 US adults.
