A Man Killed At Paris Airport Planned To 'Die For Allah':

PARIS: A man shot at  the airport by the French soldiers at the Paris Orly airport on Saturday he shouted like he  "die for Allah" and tried to take the assault rifle of a soldier, apparently with the intention of open fire on passengers , A prosecutor said. The latest in a series of attacks in France forced the evacuation of the second busiest airport in France and security push to the forefront of the election campaign in France.

The bomber, named Ziyed Ben Belgacem, arrived at Orly airport Saturday morning, threw a bag containing a can of gasoline and grabbed a member of the women's air force who was part of a military patrol at the airport, Fiscal Paris Francois Molins said.

Servicewoman using as a shield, he put his compressed air gun to the head and cried in the other soldiers with it: "Lower the weapons put your hands on the head I am here to die for Allah, in any case, we do not ... He's going to be dead. "

The other soldiers then shot and killed Belgacem.

Molins said that the assailant, who attempted to seize the woman Famas assault rifle, seemed determined to carry out a serious attack.

"Given the violence shown in the footage (CCTV) ... you get the impression that he was determined to make it to the end," Molins told a news conference. "Everything that leads us to believe that I wanted to take advantage of the Famas so that they were not dead and then shoot people."

In his body, the police found a Koran and 750 euros in cash. At home, they found several grams of cocaine, a machete and a little "foreign currency, Molins said.

Prosecutors are investigating a number of terrorism-related crimes, including attempted murder.

The choice of the Belgacem target and should prove that it had been radicalized justified the commissioning of a terrorism investigation, Molins said.

Belgacem's father, brother and a cousin are in police custody, Molins said.

On the radar

Belgacem, 39, was already on the radar of the authorities. I have identified how a Muslim radicalized when he served a prison sentence several years ago for drug trafficking.

Hours earlier, Belgacem fired and wounded a police officer with his air gun after a routine traffic stop north of Paris, before fleeing, authorities said.

After the first incident, Belgacem called his father and brother saying he had done something wrong, the prosecutor said.

He then entered a bar in Vitry-sur-Seine on the other side of Paris and opened fire with his gun in the air, without hitting anybody. He also stole a car before arriving at the airport.

More than 230 people have been killed in France in the past two years by allied militants with the Islamic militant group Islamic State, whose strongholds in Syria and Iraq are being bombed by an international coalition, including France.

Between these bombings and shootings in November 2015, Paris, coordinated, when 130 people were killed and dozens injured.

With the country in the middle of a heavily pre-presidential election campaign in two rounds in April and May, the attacks will fuel the political debate.

Conservative presidential candidate François Fillon said in a video message that France was in a "virtual civil war" and that there was no justification for lifting the state of emergency in force since November 2015 attacks, after the Justice Minister said This week conditions have been set to lift it.

Right-wing candidate Marine Le Pen, who runs an anti-immigration, anti EU ticket, said the striker died at the Orly airport, which he said was a multiple offense, had prevented a "possible massacre."

A witness, who just gave his name Dominique Baptism, told them he saw a man seize the soldier of a woman at the airport arm and take possession of his weapon.

"We are away, down the stairs. Then we hear two gunfire sound," he told to television.

Flights from Paris Orly airport were suspended for several hours after the crash.

Prince William, second row to the British crown, and his wife Kate, who ended a two-day visit to Paris on Saturday stuck to their plans, despite the attack.

President Francois Hollande said the case demonstrated the need for the sentinelle security operation  .

Last month, Egyptian, Abdullah al-Reda Hamahmy, 29, was shot and seriously wounded near the Louvr
